La Leone is a Dunkel Bock with an intense and elegant character, defined by deep amber hues and a creamy head that recalls the symbolic strength of the Lion of Cannobio. On the nose, rich malt notes of dark bread, caramel and toasted biscuits emerge, with hints of chocolate and dried fruit. On the palate it is smooth and full-bodied, thanks to a 5.5% strength that delivers richness without heaviness. The bitterness of noble hops remains subtle and well balanced, supporting the roundness of the malts. The finish is slightly dry and persistent, with toasted notes that invite the next sip and highlight the refined yet decisive nature of this beer.

WHERE THIS BEER IS BORN
The strength and courage of the people,
embodied in the monument of the Lion
Under the Eternal Gaze of the Lion
The lion statue welcoming visitors at the southern entrance of Cannobio, in the Punta Amore area, is the work of local sculptor Giulio Branca and was inaugurated on 24 August 1884. This marble monument commemorates the heroic defence of Cannobio on 27–28 May 1859, when the local population courageously resisted the Austrian troops arriving from the lake. The lion...
Under the Eternal Gaze of the Lion
The lion “that seems almost ready to rise, shake its thick mane and let out a roar of struggle and victory” represents not only the memory of that heroic act, but also the indomitable spirit of the Cannobio community. Our Leone is inspired by this silent strength which, like the marble feline, watches eternally over the lake while safeguarding values of courage, determination and love for one’s homeland. Like the lion that dominates the landscape with its imposing presence, our Dunkel Bock stands out for character and personality, uniting German brewing tradition with local pride. Every sip recalls that same nobility of spirit that drove the people of Cannobio to defend their freedom, transforming a simple beer into a symbol of resistance and identity.
